Wow that's a major burn!

I myself have never been too fond of Tom Cruise, I don't know, he seems sorta 'plain'. But these days I find him flat out annoying.

!!!!he didn't say that...the blasted journo has twisted it.........he was criticising the nature of the 'fame' beast....NOT Tom per se, i hope it doesnt cause trouble for Jim.

it's an objective observation, if you ask me.......who WASN'T making fun of him after he jumped the couch on Oprah...?!?!? and don't even get me started on the whole scientology thing.....

"friends" would be a stretch.....i think that whole affair and everyone who attended it was just one big publicity stunt.

...i wouldn't be at all surprised if it was a veiled 'attack' on the Catholic church....the local priest rang his church bells allegedly throughout, reminding them he was there.....

I read this free newspaper every morning while I'm in the tube and there was an article on Jim about that quote. They barely ever mention him but woops, when something negative happens (or whatever), his name is printed!

At least I got a picture!

another article has given what REALLY Jim mean to say :

Jim Carrey doesn't mind being a laughing stock! "Everyone gets to be the big joke for a year. That's this business. Last year it was Tom Cruise. I could be the next Kathie Lee Gifford. But you have to say to yourself, 'Wait a minute, dude, that's not you,'" People magazine quoted Carrey as telling Time.

Jim Carrey doesn't mind being a big joke - because it makes him this year's Tom Cruise.

Also he will be writing another book which will be a Children's book "Another probable project is a children book. 'Cynthia's New Friend', which is about why everybody hates change"

Jim's problem here is that he used names to make a point. He should have stayed clear from naming names because that made it personal.

Nothing wrong with saying you think everybody is going to be a joke at some point, but don't start pointing fingers. How is Tom Cruise going to take this? Actually, it's funny, because Tom did the same thing when he starting to talk about Brooke Shields.

What goes around, comes around, I guess.
