According to several websites Josh Flitter

has signed to star in the third “Ace Ventura”. Josh Flitter had a small part in "Eternal Sunshine" and is voicing a character in "Horton Hears a Who":

The new movie will be directed by David Mickey Evans (“The Sandlot”, “The Final Season”).

That fat kid's playing Ace?! Ahahah. Man. This is even worse than I expected. I don't know if I'll watch this one even with the incentive of a (Jim) Carrey cameo. It sounds almost too awful for words.

I won't watch it, but I don't bother either ... it's a movie for kids. Nothing more. So they can do it. No prob. Jim won't be in it.

I think they should just leave it as "Ace Ventura" . I mean "XXX" had a new star in it , why not Ace too . And it is more like a kid movie - it is cool . Most kids can't really watch Jim's Ace Ventura when nature calls -

Yeah this is stupid. Movies do this now, they have no proper Ideas for movies. SO what they do is get movies that were sucesfull a decade or two ago and do a sequal. Ie, the mask, now Ace Ventura. This is gonna be a flop.

I read an article saying that the director of the movie gets his kids to pick what movies he should do because he shows them. Here's a tip to the director - "If you wanna be sucessful, dont let your kids do your job for you".

Now when upcoming generation think of the mask and Ace Ventura, they're going to think "Aww man they sucked heaps" - referring to the sequals and not the orignial.

This is gonna be crap. I hate this world.

Yes, you're right. This movie will indeed be crap. I hope it bombs worse than "Son of the Mask"--if that's even a possibility. Those Heimburg brothers are bad news. They're also writing a sequel to the Farrelly Brothers' "Kingpin," and it goes without saying that they will get an entirely new cast--provided, the disgrace of a movie is ever even greenlit. Yes, sir. They'll go down in history as the most unoriginal, sleazy screenwriters in movie history. I'd hate to be them....

i cant wait for this movie i bet it wains an oscar hey the truth about all jims movies getting cancelled was because of this kid he's doing them all instead i hear he'staring and directing ripleys well i wondered who would be the next Jim looks like we've found him,

Synopsis:

Allrighty-then. After his African adventure in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Ace returned to Florida, married girlfriend Melissa and became the doting father of a baby boy. Never one to sit still, Ace's curious nature took him on another remote case. The goofball gumshoe was never to be seen or heard from again.

Single mom Melissa couldn't fully put the past behind her. Now a zookeeper, she and Ace Jr. (Flitter) have made a life carrying on without her husband. Much to Melissa's chagrin, however, 12-year-old Ace Jr. has begun to follow in his father's comic footsteps. He has recently become a pet detective for the 7th grade set, often trying to recover classmates' missing pets, and always with big mishaps.

But when a master animal thief abducts a baby panda and his mom is wrongly arrested of the crime, Ace Jr. must jump into action. Now, with the help of pals Laura and tech wizard A-Plus, young Ace must bring the thief to justice and do his inane and lovable dad's memory justice.
