Yeah, protein. All those poor haggises! I'm afraid they will go extinct, just so this guy can have legs like tree trunks!?

Yeah, very true, that is something I've always noticed about Jim, he had chunky legs. He's a little more lean these days. :ace:

Haha! I wonder how many people are duped by that strange beast!? I used to tell my son that haggis was a 'real animal' but they move so fast you can't see them. He was always telling me he saw one though. And then he found google. And that was that. But, yeah, haggis is disgusting. And insanely cruel. I used to eat it before I turned veggie, when I look back on myself I see a stranger. An alien, almost. I can't believe I used to eat stuff like that!

Haha, yes I've had my share of black pudding, or 'clotted blood and bits of god knows what else', as it should be called. Jesus!

Although you do get a nice veggie haggis and black pudding. I had veggie haggis, veggies and mash with gravy this year for Burns night. Was swell. :D

Many people in Canada have
Scottish/Irish heritage
Yes Ive tasted haggis
A few times
Each time my mouth puckered
Like when u eat lemons;)
And of course id swear
Id never eat it again
The color of black pudding
Keeps me away from it

I used to like a white pudding supper! (Basically deep fried oats and suet with chips/fries from the 'chippie' or fish and chip shop).

What are some of Canada's national dishes. Jayne?

Gross.

As I said before, I can't believe I used to eat stuff like that. Going veggie was one of the best things I've ever done to be honest. :ace:

Canada has very mixed cultures
Natives back in the day grew corn
Corn is grown in various areas of
Canada and the States
Corn fritters is something that
Was passed down in our family
But they can be greasy, since its
Fried in oil (but i think it came up
From Kentucky area)
