Universal Home Video has today announced plans to release a two-disc Collector's Edition of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which stars Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Mark Ruffalo and Tom Wilkinson. As far as we know, the set will include the standard retail release of the film, along with the films soundtrack on the second disc. On top of that, the set will include a Commemorative Photo Book. The retail price hasn't been set for this one, but we can tell you that it will be available to own in shops from the 4th January next year. We'll bring you the official region one artwork shortly. Stay tuned.

thats cool and all, but i hate when they do this. Why not just release the 2-Disc Collector's Edition... or at least tell us one's coming out before they release the "regular" version. I think its a money grab. I'll stick with my single disc version.

I agree FavaBeans. They did the same thing with the Grinch, and I never bought the 2 disc version either. Its just blatant greed by the movie companies.

Lemme get this straight; they're releasing it with the soundtrack as the 2nd disc? Why, cuz not alot of people are buying the CD?? This is so stupid. It's frustrating what they're doing to DVDs.

Oh well. Now I'll have two copies-my current one-disc and the upcoming two-disc. I'm gonna need to get another job to support my habit . Still, looking forward to its release and the added material. The first one was lacking, though I did appreciate the behind the scenes stuff.
