I found out about this board just a few weeks ago... and I hadn't participated in such boards before except for academic or professional ones... Anyway... I am having a good time ... I just post in another section that Jim should be proud of this forum because it is cool! The impression that I have so far is that people express their toughts and opinios here openly, but nicely -- of course there will be onetime or another that someone (or we all) will get on edge. But all in all, reading the posts has been an interesting and amusing experience.

Regarding Jim's movies, I can also count the ones I saw in one hand... let's see...The Mask, The Majestic, Bruce Almighty, Man on the Moon, and Eternal Sunshine... yeah, that's it... I'm not much an enthusiast of slapstick comedy... and I probably will not see Dumb and Dumber... but I admire Jim Carrey's work and talent. My opinion of him improved after I saw him on 60 minutes and his interview on the special features of the Eternal Sunshine dvd.

SM -- do not go away... Jim is clever and creative and he certainly draws his ideas from the world around him, as we all do.

That's a great idea. Go do that on the "My life is funny" thread in Off Topic. Seriously, it's therapeutic. :)

Even more interesting.

Perhaps what Shadow Mancer needs is an apology from lammy?
