Here is where you discuss everything under the sun, just keep it clean.

Autumn is closing in once more..............

Post by fluffy »

lol............in keeping with the national obsession.....lol

sigh...............Autumn is just around the corner...........it was dark tonight by 8.30pm..........

You can smell it in the earth....that damp Autumnal smell that permeates the air..........and the sky is changing too.......the light is becoming more golden and low.............with the trees heavy with Autumnal Rowan berries.............
Soon the leaves will start to change......green to gold, gold to red, red to bronze............and i'll say goodbye to the geese overhead as they go on their holidays..................
I've even seen Robins already.................... ..................
And the shops are devoid of those ghastly pastel summer rags and are full of jewelled golds and burgundys and warm toffees.
Cashmere, wool, suede and silk to be worn , after all it is Autumn!!!.........................

sigh...............I LOVE AUTUMN!!!!.................................................

What's it like with you?

It rained here last night. This morning it was 63 degrees fahrenheit (I'm near the foothills) so I wore a sweater and long pants when I walked my dog this morning. The rain and the cold has gone, though, and it's hot, again. I have on long pants, but may wear shorts for my evening dog walk. Right now, it's 88 degrees, and going up. We just turned on the air conditioning.

I personally like fall. I'll never get too old to jump into a big pile of raked leaves!!

I love Autumn too, but we rarely see many days of it, sadly. It seems to go from Summer and into Winter almost over night, but sometimes if we're lucky we will get a few nice, cool Autumn days. Right now it's still full blown Summer, sticky, hot and humid. And I couldn't be happier.

Fluff, I was even thinking about putting my Christmas Tree up early,
I think maybe November or even, maybe the day after Halloween.
Last year I didn't have much of a tree, but this one, I'm goin hog wild.
But I'm for sure going to see.
Fun with Dick and Jane.
