Dick & Jane Reshooting!

Post by Filomena »

Oye!

According to this article, FWD&J is to start reshooting, bc they want more Jim that's over the top! Plus, they're going to alter the ending.

Whatever they do, I hope it doesn't postpone the release date.

Why can't they just be happy with Jim being 'under the top'? I like his crazy stuff but sometimes I just like to see him be a person and not a cartoon character. The studios just go for what has worked in the past, relying on sure bet formulas. Give the guy a chance to further prove how good an actor and comedian he is without the schtick.

That being said, I'll enjoy it anyway.

yeah i agree................but the studios have a vested interest in making as much money as possible i guess.................

That's one reaon i loved ESOSM so much........it has so much artistic integrity and class.................it's very very stylish...............and Jim still manages to use humour..........it's not devoid of chuckles...........even if they are in the black/ironic vein..............

still, i'm sure FWDAJ will be great............

I agree-- ESSM was a great movie, plus, it only took around 3 months to shoot.

Regarding FWD&J, I hope they keep it real! It's supposed to have some serious messaging in there, and I hope they don't mess with that.

We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

Remember that old Ketchup commercial ...... "Anticipation ... it's making me wait....."

I do hope to see you in it JT. That would be so awesome. I just spotted a friend at the end of "In Living Color', season 3. I e-mailed him, and I'm sure that he will go get the dvd's to see himself. He has been depressed lately (he may have given up on trying to act), and this will cheer him up.
Pat shows up in the dvd as Damon Wayans exits the studio. Damon goes through one door, and as he goes through another door-there's Pat.

I hope they won't push the release date of FUN WITH DICK AND JANE farther away. I am looking forward to seeing that movie-hopefully soon.

Does this mean he has to cut his hair again? Bummer, I like it longer...

I was just thinking that too (about his hair) However I like it shorter. He reminds me of a highschool kid with longer hair.

That can't be good... Films that have to reshoot so close to time, especially when they have to re-do the ending, usually don't end up looking too great. For example, Stepford Wives had some reshooting last year....

I like his hair short too..

That's just the way I feel.
Easy to handle, fast, he looks good with it either way.
But I prefer it the same as in the movie.

HHHmmm...........more likely they want this to be a 'Jim Carrey' movie...............and concentrate on making certain bits more OTT............i wonder how Jim feels about the movie?.................it sounds great.........the trailer is great................but it doesn't mean he'll be happy..............HHmmm..............i guess time will tell.......

Well when he was shooting it last year, he wasn't "himself", he was sick and angry alot (I heard this from other crew members) plus, I did see him angry one day, so maybe it's HIS idea to reshoot now that he's feeling better (maybe)
