Quirky, I think Jim's smile does reach the eye

Even if I assume it doesn't, isn't that how children smile?

And he does make it a point to not smile when he doesn't want to..... eg in the recent pics he's as 'off' as normal.

For someone who smiles as much as he does, if he *tries* to make the smile reach his eyes, the eyelids would probably go into an involuntary spasmatic twitch

I agree he can put on a smile for the camera, but I can catch it (hopefully so ). In the pics above, in the first one, he is 'performing' (which I believe is his comfort zone) or maybe just heaving, while the other two is how he smiles (naughty, melted, gleeful etc.)

With me, it's usually pretzels...you can Heimlich yourself by forcefully jamming your lower abdomen against the desk...or over a chair or the top of the sofa.
