Maybe I will do a thread like this for you too, Lammy.*starts thinking about which pics I should use*

I don't think there is anything offensive about it. I thought it was cute. What is offensive about being called a Girl, a squirrel, a cute kitty, or even Jim for that matter? I think this poll just shows you that most people on this site have brains and knows she is a girl who likes to have fun.

I keep getting kicked out because of the power shortages.
I may have to write my message a little at a time.
I love the squirrel it reminds me of what happened to me this week....
hopefully I can finish before the power goes out again...

Not sure which...

I was walking along the sidewalk this week when I saw a furry little thing
moving as I approached it, it turned out to be a baby chipmunk, it's hind legs looked like they were broken....I put a plastic bag in my hand and scooped it up....

I was debating on how I would take care of it when behind me a person asked "What have you got there" it was the husband of someone is from my workplace. I showed it to them and the retold a story of how they use to have a chipmunk and how much enjoyment they had doing so.. I asked if they wanted to take care of it... the thing was so small and so helpless and I'd never taken care of anything like that before (other than baby rabbits) so they said they would care for it, I went back the next weekend and I was so thankful it was still alive, I think they call it Chippy now. Fluffy could be Jim, or a girl, maybe a squirrel but the main thing is
she/he is here and that's what's importent, whoever she/he is.

Canadian_Jayne - that is great! you saved a chipmunk. In our busy days, not many have time to care for an injured animal. Thumbs-up to them!

I tried that once with a baby sparrow that fell out of it's nest. But the poor thing died on me

I found out that Chippy died, I saw it about 2 days after I found it and it
seemed alright but on the third day it died, kinda symbolic. I found out
from the person at work today. I remember it was lying on its back,
struggling for air, I picked it up, so I blew on it, either to give it air or just to cool it off, I didn't know how long it had been on it's back in the sun.
Then my co-workers husband got a cage and the little thing wanted to get away and it would pull itself up the side of the cage with it's useless legs dangling behind it, I thought "gee, what a fighter" I suggested that they not pick it up or it might bite, but the grandpa picked it up anyway and he got nipped at, didn't break the skin, though."
Alas, chippy's gone to chipmunk heaven, and
I wish Super fluffy could bring him back to life.
If you've ever seen real chipmunk play it's so neat, I remember laying on a picnic table and just being quiet and watching them, they are such a fun lot, chasing ands scurrying all over the place.

I almost rescued a baby rat once.............i thought it was so little and cute that it had to be something nice like a doormouse or a shrew........but nope...........a baby RAT!!! ..............it looked a bit like a hamster but with a tail...........and i LOVE hamsters  ....i've had 3 (Hamish,Dougal, Humphrey) in my time...........

anyway, it's a good job i didn't take it to the vet after all.............. :? .....

It's a funny thing but i do love rodents.........there's something really cute about their little faces........... :D
