and i know that's what everybody tells me, that i am really talented, and i know i'm only 14 but i am very talented. I knew this guy that at age 13 he wrote his first screenplay, directed his frsit movie, and produced it. it was because he wantedto win the film festival and he did. so what i'm tryin to say is that you can do anything at any age if you put your mind to it. and that's what i do, i have confidence in myslef.

A few weeks back I submitted a poem to poetry.com
I got a letter from them saying they are going to publish it in their next book. It's called "Mauve".

Thats cool, I have a poem in their last book. It not exactly easy to get published with them. Congratulations! :D

I remember this poem very well!... from the Jimericks.
It even prompted Tommy to change board colors from blue to green again.

You guys could also search Melvin Patton, Or Melvin Patton Jr. on the same site to read some of mine. If you want to. they're not that good.

I write nonesense for my own personal entertainment and stories for my son but am by no stretch of the imagination a writer.I have a family member whose published several books but I do not have that talent though it would be awesome.
What I spent is gone what I kept is lost but what I gave away will be mine forever [author unknown]

Don't sell yourself short. It just takes dedication. I'm sure your relative could help you. Anyone can tell an interesting story. :D
