WIEEEEEE. I'm doing good. I returned to standup comedy. (after months of bombing and a nervous breakdown where I almost, almost really gave up, but since I'm back I guess I didn't.) Last night, for the first time in MONTHS IIiiiiIIiii had a goooooooood set! :-D There wasn't much of an audience, and there was this one giant heckler in the audience. It was this woman who blasted through the middle of peoples acts, "fixing" peoples punchlines, or already making them up beforehand. So she was a major pain in the ass to everyone and I was pretty nervous to go up since I hadn't done it in so long and she was blurting through everyones act. BUT to my huge suprise, she didn't do it with me! I was like, all flabbergasted. It was so odd, that somehow, I found myself asking her a question related to one of the subjects in my jokes (thinking WHAT THE @#%$ ARE YOU DOING!!?? SHE WAS BEING QUIET AND NOW YOU'RE GONNA RUIN IT) and she answered she wasn't into bungeejumping either, that she also didn't wanna die yet, and I shouldn't either. So then I widely grinned and made this big gesture ""Hear that, people? I get to LIVE" and everyone laughed. The rest of the set went good (90 percent new materiallll wieeee) And afterwards, one person came up to me saying he liked my magazine bit, which I had written only an hour before the show, so woohooo. And the big hit of the evening, one of the pro's that always seemed to think I sucked BIG TIME, every time I go on stage,anyway, afterwards, while he was on the phone, he gestured to me GOOD SET, and I was like, all WOOOHOOO inside. *skips off*. cableclair <a href="http://www.soiledmypants.com">www.soiledmypants.com</a><-- my site Failure isn't failure unless you give up...
