I like the storyline but I think they should change it to...

Damn Canucks and use a hockey theme instead
Can a musical be made with Hockey guys
I think so...
Could be kinda funny

If they stay with the Baseball theme
perhaps they can use the

"Centerfield" song by John Fogarty
good song, for sure.

lol........i'm still not convinced this one will happen......Musicals tend to bomb unless they're VERY VERY camp or aimed at girls.......(usually both :D )
If it's made, i predict a career bashing flop....... :?

What about ODDITY, you can do some ODD
things on this one,
just think about it,
sports - most guys like
I recently saw a movie called "The swimsuit issue"
So funny, it was about guys doing Synchro
I did not know that Synchro was started by guys
in the 1800's in Germany
It had subtitles and was hard to see on my little DVD player but
I had someone else watch it on a big screen. So that was alright.

True, they are old,
but so are some of us,
Baby boomers,
so they have to mix some of the old with the young
The great thing about being a baby boomer is...
your kids can become your friends and you don't
have to tell them what to do, they just look at you
and they know what you're thinking.
after 30 kids start thinking, hey, maybe my parents are smart
not the same smart
the younger generation is smart with technology but
older are smart with experience, put the two together and
things can be pretty amazing,I realized how smart the younger
generation is when I went back to school and the majority are
under 25, they could type and text & understand programs beyond
anything I could do. I realized then, I had to learn also but instead
of taking years, I had to do it in months, I am still learning and feel
textually challenged.

:-k Since "Pierre, Pierre" will happen without Jim, I wonder if this is te next drop. Sure not hope so ... this is the last one in the list of all interesting projects he got involved with (and dropped out) in the last couple of years.

I still like the idea of this movie
it's a Good vs Evil
In real life this is happening all the time
This movie could be a life changing movie for many
It has extreme potential, so much can be done with this
If it is a musical, it needs really good musical talent working on it,
if it is a comedy, it needs great comedians, if it is both, you
need both.
You could roll up so much in this one

Funny; Jerry Lewis was in the first Damn Yankees. Jim can definitely live up to that :D

The only thing about Damn Yankees is it's based around Baseball which is a sport pretty much limited to the USA and Canada......half the planet has no interest in the sport whatsoever .......add to that it's a musical and the audience demographic is reducing dramatically........straight blokes won't go to see it, and it's not camp enough or glam enough for females or teens..........So who are they aiming it at???........
there's not been a big musical hit since Mama Mia, Moulin Rouge and Chicago......and they were hit's because they were camp/or glam and appealed to females...............
Sorry Jim but my advice would be to shelve this one......you'll get another chance to show off your vocal chords.........

I still like the hockey idea
adapt to hockey instead of baseball.
It's down to the crunch now, playoffs are on
only a few teams left
With hockey you can bring up some of the issues
that are plaguing the news right now
and Jim has applied his moview to
the concerns of the people at that time
