Jims best friend Wayne Fleming pleaded guilty to sexual

assault of a under age teenage girl. The charge dates back to lastsummer when he was also charged sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and trafficking a controlled substance.

Wayne has been a stand up comic for 25 years and has been in movies such as Cinderella Man, Fever Pitch and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events &Fun with Dick and Jane.

He has been best friends withJim since the early 80's and in 1995 Jim stopped working on a movie and rushed to be by Waynes bedside when he was having a brain Hemmorage. Wayne also rushed to Jims side when Jim was having his gallbladder surgery.

Wayne also presented Jimw ith his Canadian Walk of fame award in 2004

his sentencing includes being prohibited from owning a firearm for 10 years, must complete 100 hours of community service, must attend counselling sessions, is not to communicate with the victim and he must register as a sex offender including providing a DNA sample. He was only charged for the sexual assualt. The rest were dropped.

The only thing upsets me is that why r they putting Jim's name in it. I mean why they have to put in the headline like "Jim's best pal sentences to prision". Everyone can be mistaken while choosing friends coz no one can c what he or she is from inside. So they should just use Waynes name. Otherwise it mite put a wrong impression about Jim's other friends & people mite think that he chooses to be friends with such kind of people.

i guess Waynes real punishment will be the destruction of his career and character, hopefully he'll also get the therapy and counselling he'll need.
Jim's got nothing to do with the case , he is/was just Waynes friend.

Unless everyone is doing the same thing they did with Roman Polanski ... they actually defend the guy. While he's guilty. I don't understand that.

People do bad things but it doesn't make them bad people. Jim seems like he isn't judgemental and it seems like he and Wayne are very close good friends; i kno he'll stay by his side.

That's sad to hear something like that happened to someone so close to him. But its reality and it does happen with people we do not expect.

And I never knew Jim had gallbladder surgery....who would have thunk it, lol.
