Well it's midnight in the UK so I think it's high time I honoured the day..
In the absence of carrier pigeon, sky-writing and smoke signals, I think this is the closest I can hope to delivering a message of joy into the hands of the man himself, so here we go. In the practically non-existent chance that he or anyone he knows may see this:
I hope you have the most wonderful day, you marvellous man. I also hope you know how much love the world has for you and I hope you can find the blissful joy that you've given us all over the years.
Life is unimaginable without the laughs and the relief that happiness can bring, even for a fleeting moment. To bring that to the lives of others is beyond any compare..
Over the years, the shittiest times have been made OK because of you. I can watch that movie.. and for 90 minutes, I'm free.
