Jim's Teeth

Post by ibsniperjoe »

I thought I heard somewhere that in Dumb and Dumber that those were Jim's real teeth and he did not wear any type of prosthetic to make them look that way. Obviously he got it fixed, but I just wanted to see if anyone could settle an argument for me. Thanks

Yeah it's true....he broke his cap while playing hockey when he was about 12 (I think that's the right version) and when he got the part, he wanted to look as dumb as possible so he had it removed...

Andrea

I could've done the make-up on his teeth. He only had to ask! *lol*

Hopefully, I'll get my special effects make-up qualification, then you never know who I could be working on.

Can you imagine if he DIDN'T have that chipped tooth in the movie? It wouldn't have been half as endearing!

It's true. He said it himself a couple of times, in different interviews.

Yeah well Jim said it himself that it was really funny with the glueing, it was only for two days but he didn't want all the interviews and photos and stuff like that to be of him with the lloyd trademark teeth, that was a character choice and Jim's always quite clear about the fact that he is his own person, not his characters.
