IFP/Gotham Award for Eternal Sunshine

A bevy of bold-face names has been booked to make onstage appearances at the IFP/New York's Gotham Awards, Dec. 1, including Jim Carrey (news), Jonathan Demme, Charlie Kaufman, Kate Winslet and Ethan Hawke (news).

Rounding out the list of skedded A-listers to grace the Gotham stage are Kevin Bacon (news), Kyra Sedgwick, Don Cheadle, Patricia Clarkson, Willem Dafoe (news), Mos Def, Michel Gondry, Mike Leigh, Anthony Mackie, Virginia Madsen and David O. Russell.

The awards show is airing live from Manhattan's Chelsea Piers on IFC. This is the first year the Gothams, the IFP/New York's biggest annual fundraiser, has shifted from a fall slot to recast itself as an end-of-year awards date.

Bob Balaban is slated as the night's emcee, and John Cameron Mitchell will handle red carpet duties. DJ Grandmaster Flash has been booked to provide music on the wheels of steel.

Eternal Sunshine is being honored "New York Tribute". It was nominated for Best Picture, but didn't get that honor.

I also read today that Eternal won the Explore Award at the "Gent film festival" - (Belgium Film Festival Award).

Thsi show will be shown live in the US on the IFC channel (which is one of the few channels I don't get

Thanks for the links to all the great pics. I really like the ones where he's taking pics with some of the fans outside. He just looks very relaxed and natural.

There was also a little clip on Access Hollywood last night from the red carpet. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hear much because I was on the phone, but he was talking about how he used his dad for inspiration for parts of Olaf.
