Carrey and Burton!

Post by FavaBeans »

Wow, Jim Carrey is teaming up with Tim Burton in a film about Ripley's Believe it or Not... Jim will be playing Ripley.

Here's the story:

Lol, a film about Ripleys Believe it or Not... seems kind of weird. I looked and theres four other sources saying this... I don't know if that would pull threw. We know I love Jim Carrey, but as well do I love Tim Burton. The two together would be awesome, but it doesn't really interest me thus far.
*shrugs*

Does anyone know the story behind this Robert Ripley guy? Maybe if I knew what it would spacifically be about I'd be more interested.

I guess it's a generation gap thing. Ripley's Believe It Or Not is an institution of weirdness and freak shows. Kind of the like the carnival shows, two headed cows, sword swallowers, that sort of thing. How can a movie about a guy who hunted oddities not be good?

I can't think of a better team, Burton and Jim... I really hope this one happens!

This one says its about Mr. Ripley...

"Dean Cain won’t be happy. Jim Carrey is set to star in the ‘Ripley’s Believe it or Not’ movie. Well, it’s based on the chap that created the show anyway - Robert Ripley, the explorer and newspaper columnist, that the film will backstory."

Like I said, anything Jim does, to me, is good anyway... but that doesn't change my opinion UNTIL I see what happens further.

This sounds really interesting.............i guess it'll be very much taken form a human perspective rather than just the freak show aspect..........

HHmmm........i'd be interested in that one.......but how many projects get pulled B4 the come to fruition.........?........

i guess we'll just have to watch this space...........

my guess it will be kind of a twisted comedy like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I don't know, I'd just like to see some more information on the movie before I get all excited. It seems kind low on the list, or maybe I'm just having a "doubting" moment.

Interesting detail to ponder.

Both Jim and Tim are bipolar.
