Favorite Marketing slogan! Television Commercial

I always love the old "I'd like to teach the world to sing" CocaCola and Have a 'Coke and a smile' Even though I'm a Pepsi drinker.
Obviously I'm bored out of my mind. Why are commercials 30 seconds? Why not 15 seconds?

There are 15 and even 10 second commercials, but the breaks you sell when you sell advertising are (for instance ) 2min. If someone bought a 30 sec and someone else bought a 15 second in a break...they have to find filler for that spare 15 seconds.
Also, I think studies have shown that 30 seconds is the optimal time span to get their message across.

I like the comcast one about high speed internet... too fast for a couple of turtles... they prefer DSL.
