A romcom with a strong message element.........it'll tug at the heart strings........both characters will maintain the facade of moving on when their hearts are still together........the aching of lost love etc..........then the inevitable make-up........so we'll be rooting for them, and crying for their loss........then rejoicing at their arrival..........lol........

i could be totally wrong though..........i really have no idea..........lol

I think it wil be a romantic comedy.

This brings back memories of corronation street when Karen and Steve pretended to break up :D

I dont really like watching corronation street but that story is a bit like jims new film. Although the film will be sooooo much better.

I think (and hope) it's going to be a little Comedy Light with a spine. Not only 'fun', but a film that has something to say without the laugh-moments because of the good writing.

I just hope they find the right tone & spirit, that they don't loose the charm the European film has and it doesn't turn in a typical Hollywood comedy (nothing wrong with a 'Bruce' though) with a trow-up finger pointing at the over-clear message. Nothing wrong with a 'Bruce Almighty', but this has the potential to be a lot more then that. And with this director/writer I stronlgy believe they could succeed!

well if i read one of the articles right.....it is going to be produced by focus pictures, the ones who brought ESOTM. so i think it will go along the lines that Eternal Sunshine did but with a little more comedy to it. but i think will probably be wrong.

It's a good thing, Focus. I have the feeling the label garanties you it's a quality film. The reason? Brick, Brokeback Mountain, Eternal Sunshine, the Motorcycle Diaries, 21 Grams, Lost in Translation, the Pianist, Far from Heaven, Broken Flowers...

I just love the promotional 'about focus' under 'media' on the site. 8)

I think it will be a romantic comedy.
Jim and Cameron are both so funny, and they have
great chemistry. I'm so glad that they're teaming up again.

It takes that it is the two therefore and very good Jim Carrey to be able to innovate the films with two subjects!
