When does promotion usually start?

Like when will the Trailer be viewable in Theaters, and the poster on display on the Walls?

Depends if the film's going to be a blockbuster or not. Mr Bean's Holiday comes out around the same time as The Number 23 and posters are up in cinemas and I think the trailer is out this month.
So to answer your question, I think the posters should be up in some cinemas before the end of the month. US cinemas that is. I think the trailer will be shown when the posters are put up.

The trailer received a very good response online, so much in fact I hadn't realized that it was not yet released in theaters. They may put a 'February 23rd' at the end, right now we only have the 'coming soon'. They can release it in January, any good movies coming out on Wednesday the 17th?

I don't know about the trailor but the theater posters are selling on Ebay.
