Was Johnny Casted?

Does anyone know who besides Jim was going to be in this movie? I thought for some reason Johnny Depp was in it, and thought i was wrong until i noticed it was being directed by Tim Burton... so that definately make it possible that he was casting Johnny at some point.

Just curious cause id love to see them in a movie together.

Besides Jim, there have been no Official announcements on casting.
Gong Li si still a strong rumor. Nothing official.

Burton is working on Sweeny Todd.

Johnny Depp has postponed all filming until his daughter is completely well, by all accounts she's been extremely sick......septicemia i think......she's lucky to be alive...........

She is doing a lot better but he will not return to the set until she is fully recovered.

its a bacterial blood infection...........it's very serious but lilly is ok now........shes getting better.......
