MTV Movie Awards
08 Jun 1997 According to Reuters/Variety, Jim Carrey was the only multiple winner at the 7th Annual MTV Movie Awards, recorded last Saturday. Carrey won in two of the three categories for which he got a nomination, namely Best Villain and Best Comedic Performance for "The Cable Guy", stealing the show with his irreverent acceptance speeches.
The program was hosted by Mike Myers and will be broadcast on MTV - U.S., Thursday, June 12, from 9-11 p.m. (ET/PT). MTV’s other international channels will air it on the next few weeks.
