14 Feb 2000 For the second year in a row, the sure fire bet that Jim Carrey would be nominated for best actor in a motion picture has fizzled out.
Carreyholics are livid in response to the news. Most, if not all believe that Jim Carrey deserves a nomination for his amazing performance as Andy Kaufman in the film "Man on the Moon." Still stinging from last year's over-site, Carreyholics feel that salt has been added to the wound.
As Jim Carrey said during an interview with Conan O'Brien, "They can't make the same mistake twice!" It looks like they can and did. Now Carreyholics are left wondering if Carrey is a member of a black list of actors and actresses from the AMPAS. It should be interesting if Jim presents another award at the 2000 Academy Awards.
In any case, Carreyholics will stand by Jim Carrey, even if the AMPAS won't.
