Where in the world is "The Majestic" filming?
13 Mar 2001 Ferndale! No. Mendocino?? Nope. Adis Abeba??? Uh-uh. Er.... L.A.? Actually, yes. Although previously reported that "The Majestic" would start filming in Ferndale on March 5, production has in fact been busy filming in Los Angeles. Most notably in the famous Chinese Theater, among other locations.
"The Majestic" is expected to start shooting in Ferndale only next week, March 20. According to the Mendocino Beacon, production will move to Mendocino County between April 30 and May 10.
Expected locations to be used include Lansing Street in Mendocino village from Palette Drive to Main Street, the beach on the north side of Big River, bluff shots from the south side of Big River, the Skunk Train Depot in Fort Bragg and Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. The Beacon also confirmed that veteran actor James Whitmore will in fact be a part of "The Majestic" cast.
