I've read all the four pages here, all of them, I've watched the video and... I didn't understand any of these... What the conference about, why all these people, why Jim Carrey... Who won the tickets, why won...

Your not dumb if anybody is dumb on here it me lol K Austin won the tickets and if u don't no who that is thats the one with the name jimchangedme ok i do no that and y he won was because that event was live somewhere in California and the tickets are about 300 plus and there was a contest and who ever won got 2 free tickets for that event. Now what the conference was about i can't really answer but i'm guessing it had 2 do with plants. Hope I helped

No, you're not dumb.
I can only tell you what I know and what I understood.

GATE is an event that was first held in 2009. At that time Jim was there and he made a 10 minutes speech and also introduced Eckhart Tolle. That man has written several book to help people, help themselves.
GATE stands for "Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment" and you can read more about it here: http://gatecommunity.org/
Many people in the entertainment business (actors, producers,etc) got together and are part of this sort of "foundation". The purpose is "to empower entertainment and media professionals and companies to produce and distribute content that inspires new awareness-based worldviews for global audiences by providing: Education, Collaboration and Advocacy."

Jim Carrey is one of the Honorary Founders of GATE.
In the event, many spiritual leaders and people who believe in GATE, get together to discuss and talk about it. Talk about how they can improve so the world can be a better place.

I think that's what it is but that's just me.... ^^'
