Immunization To B or not 2 be, is that the question?

This is a hard question 4 many
My initial reaction was

“No Way, I don’t want to be anyone’s Guinea pig”

Then I Thought” Give it time”
My main one was “I don’t want 2 be forced 2 get it”

I always wanted to have a choice.
So. I watched , read, waited and waited more
Then I thought
OK “What if the majority of people have it or have had it.
That means the majority have some natural protection
Already and getting a shot just may give that extra
Umph needed to make immunity more complete

Over time the initial natural immunity may
Wain cause some don’t even know when they may have had
It in the first place.

Now with the date that U have from the first shot
U start to have a better timeline of understanding.

Also if u do get COVID, hopefully it won’t hit u as
Hard as it could have. B4 we didn’t have the rapid
Testing in Ontario. Now we do.

Hopefully we can get the immunity problem
Solved and have an idea of how long the vaccine
May last

Then one of my children, who works in an
Essential service said
“I have 2 get this 4 work”
I worried and prayed and worried and pray
That all would be well 4 her.
Other than a sore arm, slight headache it seemed 2 work out.
At that point I thought
Maybe I’ll get it, if it was. OK for her
Maybe it’ll be Ok for me only
Variable is I’ve experienced an
Anaphylactic Allergy reaction b4 to
An Allergy Shot and
It was and is not a good experience
I was a young teenager and it is
Unalterably etched in my memory

So I mentioned it to the adult child that got the shot.
I’m so thankful for my family and help
Especially since I generally take a long time
To process information unless I’m
Really upset
Then my adrenaline kicks in.
The morning my age group came up for
The shot, the appointment was booked.

I wish the SERB had been that easy but on
That lockdown U could not get help
That’s another story.

Anxiety for the week was tremendous.
I cleaned. Got rid of stuff, organized,
Got a garage for seasonal and band goals.
Thot about
“What if this was my last day to live?”
Phoned my kids, told them I loved them
Prepared as best I could
Told them I was “Good 2 go”
Whether in this life or the next.
Walking into the injection area was
Worse than diving off a high diving board.
That’s easy for me, I sequence my brain
In knowing what 2 do there.
But with this one there is the only
Preparation that
“I hope and pray I’m not allergic to
What’s in it.

I have been haunted with
Allergic reaction since
I can remember
Rashes, itchy, hard 2 breathe
Tired tired tired
Grumbly stomach
Running to the leu(bathroom) like
In Dumb and Dumber
This includes certain foods, environmental
And chemicals and some elements in meds.
I remember my mom getting samples
Of cereals for me 2 try from companies
To see if I like them or could tolerate them
Some were good
Some not so

Well, it’s been a week since I got the shot

My allergy problem is the environmental one
With all the pollen in the air on the fly
My arm was sore, I I had a bit of a head ache

But it was better than some foods that I
Can’t tolerate.
Thus far, it is better than I anticipated
And I’m thankful for that

Now hopefully
It will work
I’m going for
B positive on this one

Yes I think
Canada and U S
Should have a healthy competition
I say by July 1 Canada will have 75 percent
At least a first shot
J Biden is asking for 70 percent
By July 4
The heat is ON
Come on all Canadians
The gauntlet is dropped
If I can do it
You can too
IF u want or feel health wise
It is possible
But always seek the advice of your doctor

Some things I do disagree with is

I think people should still wear masks
Even if they’ve had first or second shot
Even if they are around others whoVe had the shot
U can still hug with a mask on
There are high fives with sanitized gloves on
(They even have biodegradable gloves now,
They’re green)
We will not be out of the woods until
Testing for immunity is easily accessible
And accurate
I think there will be another wave
Younger 20’s and worst in nov and dec
History usually repeats itself look
At historical records in 1918

Lotsa room

Just curious
Recently a mosquito bit me where
I got the shot (2nd)
They say mosquitos can’t carry COVID but
Could they carry the immunity?
From those who had shot
To those who didn’t
I wonder!
If enough people were vaccinated
Could the immunity spread
That would be interesting
I wonder if any research
Has been done on this

A question about immunity
If a husband has had the shots against COVID
Kisses or exchanges other bodily fluids with wife
Who does not have shot
Would she also eventually have immunity
Due to the process of exchange?
I wonder!

For almost everyone to get
Third shot

Why don’t we all just assume
Everyone probably has it so
Everyone who can just isolate for next 2 weeks
Makes sense
To me
Isolate with those u love
