Shepard Fairey Celebrates Americana with Jim Carrey
29 Aug 2012

By Tommy Pihl (JCO Editor-In-Chief)

Jim Carrey showed up this weekend at Perry Rubenstein Gallery in West Hollywood, when artist Shepard Fairey debuted his latest collection of works inspired by the songs of Neil Young’s most recent album, "Americana" – a reimagining of great American folk songs.

Fairey is the man behind the iconic Obama 'Hope' poster – an image synonymous with the 2008 election. In 2003 Shepard Fairey founded Studio Number One, a Los Angeles-based Advertising Agency dedicated to building and reinforcing bold, disruptive brand narratives across all media. The shop quickly cultivated a reputation as a creative firm rooted in Fairey’s unique artistic and provocative ideology.

A week ago Jim Carrey visited Studio Number One. Check photos of Jim Carrey from it and from Perry Rubenstein Gallery below and in our Gallery.
