Would you agree that looking at Shakespeare's plat in their totality leaves very little original for others to write?

IMO - he was before his time. Antisemitism, interracial marriage....it's all there.

i agree he was ahead of his time..............but re originality, i don't agree that because he wrote his plays we are left with little scope for originality.......
it's not the subject per se..........but how it's approached........and the ways are endless. As society changes ideas and values change and this is reflected in writings.
