New Sonic 3 Concept Art Reveals Robotnik as a Future King

Exciting new concept art from "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" has surfaced, offering a glimpse of scenes that never made it to the final movie. One particularly concept art shows Dr. Robotnik, portrayed by Jim Carrey, in royal attire alongside Metal Sonic, hinting at an evolution of the villain's storyline.
While this vision never made it to the big screen, Metal Sonic was teased in the post-credits sequence of Sonic 3, suggesting the character will play a significant role in the upcoming fourth installment.
The newly revealed concept art suggests that Metal Sonic was originally intended to be more closely integrated into the plot of Sonic 3, possibly forming a stronger connection with Robotnik. This would have marked the introduction of Metal Sonic as an important ally to the villain. However, due to changes in the storyline, Metal Sonic’s role was pushed to a later reveal.
If the creators decide to revisit the original idea, it seems likely that Robotnik's return in Sonic 4 will be pivotal to the storyline, potentially positioning him and Metal Sonic as a formidable duo.
