Jim Carrey, Sandler, and Elwes Launch 'Ultimate Political Prank Show"
01 Apr 2025 By Tommy Pihl (Editor-in-Chief)
Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, and Cary Elwes have teamed up for a groundbreaking new show that blends political pranks, slapstick comedy, and absolutely no regard for the usual norms of television—Carrey’s Ultimate Political Prank Show. In what promises to be the most bizarre and unpredictable spectacle of the year, the trio will target real-world politicians (yes, including Donald Trump) with a series of pranks that are so wild, they’ll leave audiences questioning whether or not reality has been entirely upended.
The show, which will air on an undisclosed streaming platform (rumored to be somewhere between Netflix and a hidden pirate ship), is set to combine political satire with the kind of hijinks you’d expect from the most chaotic of Saturday morning cartoons. Think Candid Camera meets The Daily Show… but with 200% more rubber chickens and giant foam fingers.
“Expect us to show up at political rallies wearing giant foam fingers and challenging politicians to a thumb wrestling contest,” said Adam Sandler, chuckling mischievously. “It’ll be political satire, but with a twist of wild, weird, and totally inappropriate humor.”
For his part, Cary Elwes is preparing for his role as the ultimate prank strategist, coming up with ways to “accidentally” lock politicians in rooms full of confetti or sneak pies into their hands just as they begin making speeches. “I’ve got my eye on the prize,” Cary said, twirling a fake mustache. “I can’t wait to unleash the kind of pranks that make you question what political office even means anymore. It’s all about absurdity, and I’ve got a plan to make it beautifully absurd.”
Jim Carrey, the mastermind behind it all, gave fans a taste of what’s to come, teasing that Donald Trump might be a frequent target of these pranks—though not in the way you might expect.
"Let’s see how he reacts to a giant rubber chicken being thrown in his direction,” Carrey said, cracking a grin. “Or better yet, how about we swap out his speech with a full-on musical number from The Mask? Imagine him reading lines like ‘Somebody stop me!’ while wearing a green face mask. It’ll be gold.”
But the pranks won’t be just about poking fun at Trump; the trio plans to target politicians from all sides of the aisle. "This show isn't about one party," Carrey elaborated. "It’s about the absurdity of politics as a whole. We want to create moments where politicians are caught off-guard and made to look as ridiculous as we know they are. It's time to shine a light on how truly absurd the whole system is... but, you know, with some laughs, a little satire, and a lot of glitter.”
The pranks will range from goofy, over-the-top stunts to more subtle, mind-bending tricks that will have viewers scratching their heads. For example, in one prank, they plan to dress up as major political figures (with Carrey taking on the role of Trump, naturally) and attend a “highly anticipated” debate, only to have the debate devolve into an all-out water balloon fight. Other pranks include sneaking into major political speeches disguised as security guards and delivering fake, heavily-sanitized speeches that leave politicians wondering if they’re in a dream sequence.
“I’m just saying, if I can make the entire nation forget about an election for a moment, I’ve done my job,” Carrey said, clearly gleeful at the thought of bringing chaotic laughter to the world stage.
Fans of Carrey’s previous political cartoons, which humorously skewered Donald Trump, will find themselves in familiar territory. But this time, Carrey will be taking his absurd takes to the real world. "I spent years drawing cartoons about Trump," Carrey said. “Now I’m going to prank him live. This show is prankimation at its finest."
When asked about his inspiration for the show, Sandler chimed in, “We wanted to do something that took the chaos of politics and made it fun again. And what’s more fun than pranking someone who thinks they’re in charge of the world?”
The show is expected to be a wild ride, with each episode filled with unexpected turns, laughs, and of course, outrageous political pranks. As for the trio’s dynamic, fans can expect a combination of Carrey’s outlandish energy, Sandler’s goofy charm, and Elwes’s deadpan wit—all of which will work together to create a political satire show unlike anything viewers have ever seen.
“We might get a few angry tweets, but we’re willing to risk it,” said Sandler with a smirk. “At least we’re giving them something to talk about.”
